I absolutely love making scrubs at home because there are endless combinations of ingredients that have their own various perks. The one I have featured today is derived from a blog called Freutcake. I think we have all heard at least one benefit of green tea in our lifetime because there are so many! But when it comes to skin, some of the benefits include healthier looking skin, protection from sun damage, and helps the skin retain moisture. Besides all of the wonderful things that green tea does, the sugar removes dead skin while the coconut oil moisturizes. Overall this is a miracle working scrub that you won’t regret making!
Ingredients
1 cup granulated white sugar
½ cup coconut oil
1 Tbs green tea
1 tsp matcha green tea powder (I found a wide selection on
Amazon)
Gather and measure all ingredients.
Add all ingredients to bowl and combine until completely mixed.
Note: keep stored in an airtight container.
Have you made any scrubs before? If so, what are your favorite ingredients to use?
This is such a great idea for a scrub! And it looks pretty too, I don't know why I think it does...maybe it's the sugar texture? Anyways thanks so much for sharing this recipe, I'm going to see if I can find some matcha green tea powder :)
