Unboxing // Ipsy August 2014

This month’s Ipsy bag fell under the theme of Beauty Schooled. This theme definitely fits well, given that many of us are going back to school soon. I’m not exactly sure how the products fit the theme but the bag definitely does. It is orange and white and is shaped like a cylinder, like a pencil case.

Urban Decay Perversion Mascara

All I have to say is WOW! This mascara is one of the best I have ever tried. It is super black and the brush allows for long yet thick lashes. There is a matching primer for this, however I did not receive it. Overall I would really recommend it to anyone who is in the market for a high-end mascara.

Drugstore Haul!

I decided to take a little trip to the drugstore to pick up a couple items. It is definitely a dangerous trip for my wallet because there are so many thing that I want to buy! I managed to restrain myself (well, kind of) and ended up leaving with just a few things. I have tried out all of these products a few times, so I am going to tell you what I think of them.

EOS Shaving Cream

This product was hyped up because of the well-loved EOS lip balms so I thought I would try it out. I can’t say that I was super amazed by the shaving cream.  I was expecting it to be a little bit thicker and therefore more moisturizing. The scent Pomegranate Raspberry smells great though.

Unboxing // Julep Maven

This month I received a Julep Maven box. This is a subsription service that is mainly nail polish based but they throw in a beauty product every once and a while. This was the first time I received one of these boxes so I thought I would tell you what I think of it!

DIY // Green Tea Body Scrub

I absolutely love making scrubs at home because there are endless combinations of ingredients that have their own various perks. The one I have featured today is derived from a blog called Freutcake. I think we have all heard at least one benefit of green tea in our lifetime because there are so many! But when it comes to skin, some of the benefits include healthier looking skin, protection from sun damage, and helps the skin retain moisture. Besides all of the wonderful things that green tea does, the sugar removes dead skin while the coconut oil moisturizes. Overall this is a miracle working scrub that you won’t regret making!
